Geohot has tweeted saying that the jailbreak is easy but only helps those dumb enough to upgrade.
I hear rumors going around that the 3.1.3 jailbreak is hard. It isn’t. But the only people it helps are those dumb enough to upgrade. Sorry.
These comments indicate that it’s unlikely the BlackRa1n jailbreak will be upgraded to support the new firmware.
iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 3G users – please be very careful you do not upgrade. The iPhone Dev-Team has announced that the iPhone 2G, 3G, and iPod touch 1G can be jailbroken on OS 3.1.3 already. However, I wouldn’t upgrade just for the sake of being on the latest firmware. It doesn’t add any significant features and the jailbreak is carried out by Redsn0w which may be difficult for new users. If you are someone who accidentally upgraded to 3.1.3 and lost your jailbreak, providing you are on a device that can be jailbroken using Redsn0w (listed above), then you can jailbreak by pointing Redsn0w to read the 3.1.2 firmware.

So is there a way you can jailbreak version 3.1.3?
yes u can jailbreak version 3.1.3 using redsnow version 9.4………BUT if ur model is an mc model, it can’t be done……(to check your model go to settings/general/about/, then look for model, if it starts with mc then give up for now, if it doesnt use redsnow)
